We’re pleased to be recent contributors to Foreground, an online publication about cities, places and the people who make them.

Rosie Halsmith spent some time learning about the design, community art facilitation and landscape architecture process undertaken by Vanessa Margetts of MudMap Studio for Nyamba Buru Yawuru’s Liyan-Ngan Nyirrwa (Cultural Wellness Centre) in Broome, to contribute a case study on this project.

Liyan-ngan Nyirrwa was recently recognised for design excellence, winning the 2020 AILA WA Award of Excellence for Health and Education Landscape, 2020 AILA WA Regional Achievement in Landscape Architecture and 2020 AILA WA Medal.
