Published pieces: Considering design in the regions for Future West

We were pleased to contribute to the latest issue of UWA School of Design's bi-annual print publication, Future West.

This issue considers the role that the regions play in an urbanised world. What learnings can regional developments can inform urbanisation in the capital cities - and the regions themselves?

Loren chatted to Tahmina Maskinyar, project manager at FORM, about the activities of cultural organisations that shape the regions, and to Terry Hill, Chief Executive Officer of the Pilbara Development Commission, about the recent Pilbara Creative and Cultural Forum for two interviews featured in the publication.

Rosie spent some time learning about the design, community art facilitation and landscape architecture process undertaken by Vanessa Margetts of MudMap Studio for Nyamba Buru Yawuru’s Liyan-Ngan Nyirrwa Cultural Healing Centre in Broome, to contribute a case study on this project.
