Situation:
The Parkway is a street that links the town centre of Ellenbrook with the residential and park areas beyond. The future use of this area will be the suburb’s Metronet station and associated development.

It was our task to work together with fellow landscape architects, artists, stakeholders and the community to enhance this streetscape.

Results:
Together with the community, artists, stakeholders and the project team, we coordinated and created the Parkway Artway – an outdoor gallery. We also facilitated community involvement in the design of the parkland – an excellent contribution of timber planter boxes contributed by Ellenbrook Men’s Shed.

This semi-permanent streetscape and parkland has improved amenity and activated the streetscape for the community while Metronet’s arrival draws closer.

Scope:
Art strategy - Artist briefing - Art coordination - Environmental graphic design
